Session I: Understanding the Core Philosophy of the Bhagavad Gita
In the first session, the keynote speaker, ISKCON Temple Meerut’s spiritual guru, Prabhu Charu Govind Das, addressed the students, emphasizing that the Bhagavad Gita is the essence of life. He stated that reading the Bhagavad Gita purifies our senses, fosters self-development, sharpens focus, and enhances clarity of thought. The Gita eradicates negativity from our lives and instills a positive outlook.
He further explained that the verses of the Bhagavad Gita are not confined to religious or philosophical perspectives but serve as a guiding light during life’s challenges. Studying and practicing the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita makes life meaningful, and one should integrate its wisdom into daily life.
The audience was enthralled by the chants of Hare Krishna, experiencing a spiritually charged atmosphere.
