Kho–Kho competition, hosted by Nandalal Bose Subharti College of Fine Arts and Fashion
Design, was held on Friday, November 4, 2022, as part of Swami Vivekanand Subhratri
University's ongoing Inter–Collegiate Tournament. A total of 51 men and 48 women from
various colleges of the university participated in the event.
The men's and women's categories in the Kho–Kho competition were won by the physical
education department. The faculties of pharmacy (men) and education (women) secured
second place. Fine Arts College (men) and Physiotherapy College (women) succeeded in
securing third place.
A total of 99 participants from five constituent colleges of Swami Vivekanand Subharti
University took part in the event that kicked off at 9:30 a.m. in the General Mohan Singh
Playground. Mr. Akash Bhatnagar, Director of PPD, and Prof. Anoj Raj, Head of Education
Department, inaugurated the event, welcomed the players, and wished them luck. Dean
Faculty of Education and chairperson of the University Sports Committee, Dr. Sandeep
Choudhary, graced the event and motivated students with his motivational speech. Dr. Manju
Adhikari, Associate Professor, Department of Physical Education, also extended her
blessings and wishes to the students. The overall event was coordinated by Dr. Neha Singh,
University Sports Committee Member and Head of Fashion and Textile Design, under the
guidance of Dr. Pintu Mishra, Dean Faculty of Fine Arts. The co-ordinating team from Fine
Arts College included faculty members Mr. Lucky Tiyagi, Dr. Arpana Kamboj, Ms. Anisha
Anand, Ms. Shefali Bansal, Ms. Abhilasha Garg, Mr. Ashish Kumar Mishra and Dr. Sonal Bhardwaj, who supported the team wholeheartedly during the tournament. Nishant Kumar, along with Shivam Chaudary and Akhilesh Kumar, officiated the match and were assisted by Robin Chattha and Kunal Pahadiwal for scoring purposes. Dr. Praveen Kumar, secretary of the sports committee, acted as the expert and gave all the directions throughout the completion of the event.
