Biryani is a royal recipe, extremely savory, mouth-watering, and tempting to enjoy. It is amongst the hottest and most praised dishes globally. It’s a complete meal along with the inclusion of aromatic rice, meat, veggie, and assorted spices and herbs cooked collectively.
Biryani Festival is a buffet-type lunch that includes a variety of biryanis with saalan, chutney, salads, raita, and phirni. This year, one of its kind Biryani Fest- Jashn-e-Awadh was organized by the Students’ Club Vyanjan of Bhikaji Cama Subharti College of Hotel Management on 6th May 2022.
Students took initiative and started event arrangements a week before the event. Teams were divided to sell out the coupons in the University. Decoration work was done keeping in mind the AWADHI theme. Three types of biryanis: Veg. Biryani, Egg Biryani & Chicken Biryani were prepared and served by the students. Both the options of Dine-in & take-away were available for guests.
The Biryani Festival was inaugurated by The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Maj. Gen. (Dr.) G.K. Thapliyal was invited as a special guest at the event. He emphasized that this kind of theme-based food festival must be organized at regular intervals to boost the confidence of students. He thanked Dr. Shiv Mohan Verma, HOI, BCSCHM, and all the organizing team members for such a delicious experience.
Dr. Shiv Mohan Verma thanked all the guests who visited the festival and enjoyed Biryani. He also thanked all the team members who worked day and night to make this festival a grand success.
During this Biryani Festival, more than 70 guests came for Dine-in and approx 80 guests preferred take-way to enjoy the Biryani made by students.
