JOINT INTERACTIVE SESSION
A joint Interactive session of B.A. and M.A. students was organized in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, SVSU, Meerut on 23 September 2022. The objective of this program was to stimulate the feeling of belongingness and oneness amongst the students and encourage them to focus on their holistic development. The program started with the lamp lighting ceremony before the idol of Maa Saraswati.
It was followed by the welcome speech of Ujjawal, B.
A. II year students. Anshu Kumari B. A. III sem. the student cast her magic spell with a beautiful dance performance. Dr. Sudhir Tyagi, Dean, FASS shower his blessings and admire the Department and students to take this initiative. He said, “start of a thing is a necessary step; you cannot grow until you start”. Dr. Manoj Kumar Tripathi, HOD, Political Science and Sociology, FASS also appreciated the students and organizers for their wonderful preparations and inspired them to shine in the world. Tashi Dem and Shelley, B.A. III-year students hold the stage and remain the anchor throughout the program. First-year students introduced themselves one by one and performed mesmerizing performances like mimicry, singing, dancing, acting, etc. B. A I sem. students showcased their talent as Harpreet Kaur performed awesome Bhangra, Damini performed a dance on Haryanvi song, Anishka Singh performed Western dance, Siya performed Classical dance on “Naino wale ne…’. Anshu Kumar delivered a speech on ‘Mother, The Most Powerful. Tashi Dem, B.A. III sem. student and Pema Dechen, B.A II sem. Students performed a beautiful Bhutani Dance. Mohd. Azeem, sang a melodious song, Vasu and Mohd. Altaf recited self-written poetry. Nikita, B.A. III sem. student danced with full energy and everybody admired her talent. The cake-cutting ceremony, a symbol of harmony, was one of the main charms of get-togethers.
Certificates were issued to the students for participating in Hindi -Saptah which was celebrated by the Department of Political Science and Sociology, FASS, SVSU, Meerut from 14th September to 21st September 2022. It remained a great motivation for the students.
Dr. Rafat Khanam, Associate Professor, English, appreciated students saying that our students are multi-talented; they are good in culture, sports, and educational activities; the things they should also carry with them are honesty, our values, and the culture of India. Dr. Shruti, Assistant Professor, of Sociology appealed to the students to be Human First and guided them to develop humanity with their professional skills. Dr. Durvesh, Assistant professor, of History, said that students must develop good habits and showcase their knowledge. Dr. Neha, Associate Professor, of Economics, also gave blessings to students. Dr. Seema Sharma, Dr. Manisha Luthera, Dr. Gunjan Sharma, Mr. Ramprakash Tiwari, Mr. Madhur Sharma, and Mr. Shubham Kumar Sah were present in the program. Ujjawal offered the formal vote of thanks and the program ended with the promises of togetherness.
