Extension Activity Report: Learn With Fun: Nukkad Natak & Plantation”
Location: Sardar Patel Municipal Inter College, Sharda Road, Meerut
Supervisor: Dr. Reeba Devi, Assistant Professor, and Dr Sangeeta Rani, Assistant Professor Department of Education, Faculty of Education, SVSU Meerut.
Student Coordinators: Sujata Singh (B.El.Ed VI Semester and Riya Kaushik B.El.Ed II Semester)
Objective: The objective of the extension activity titled “Learn with Fun” was to provide students with a practical learning experience through role-play and direct participation.
The activity aimed to engage students actively while imparting knowledge in an enjoyable manner.
Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Education, SVSU Meerut congratulated the organiser on this extension activity because learning with activities is like the ornament of study.
Prof. (Dr.).Anoj Raj, Head, Department of Education SVSU Meerut praised all the students and staff of Sardar Patel Municipal Inter College for their cooperation, especially Principal. Dr Naveen Kumar Tomar and also appreciated the efforts of students for their active participation in all activities.
A street play or Nukkad Natak was organized in Sardar Patel Municipal Inter College, Sharda Road, Meerut to convey important social messages. Through this medium, students were encouraged to express themselves creatively while addressing societal issues. Plantation and Role Play during the last completion of school internship by B.El.Ed VI and B.El.Ed II sem students.
Role-play and sports activities focused on environmental awareness and the importance of forestation was conducted. Students actively participated in portraying various roles related to planting trees, conservation, and sustainable living along with many more sports activities.. A yoga session was incorporated to promote physical and mental well-being among students. The session included basic yoga asanas and breathing exercises, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Execution: The extension activity was executed with meticulous planning and coordination. Sujata Singh and Riya Kaushik, the student coordinators, played a pivotal role in organizing and managing the different components of the events along with their team member like Ketkee, Gunjan, Kanak,Saloni,Ajay,
Vijay, Kirti, Kumkum, Vedika, BhawnaNisha, Sagaf, Shruti, Rakshit, Bhawna, Lakshita, Aashita, Simran, Priya, Manvi etc. Dr. Reeba Devi provided valuable guidance and support throughout the process.
Outcome: The Learn with Fun extension activity was highly successful in achieving its objectives. Students actively participated in all the activities with enthusiasm and zeal. They
gained practical insights into various social, environmental, and health-related issues while enjoying the interactive learning
Conclusion: The extension activity served as a platform for holistic learning, combining entertainment with education. It not only fostered creativity and expression but also instilled values of social responsibility and well-being among the students. The collaborative efforts of the organizers, supervisors, and participants ensured the success of the event. Future extension activities should continue to integrate innovative approaches to learning, ensuring active participation and engagement among students. Regular feedback sessions can also be incorporated to assess the impact of such initiatives and make necessary improvements.
Dr. Reeba Devi, Assistant Professor, and Dr Sangeeta Rani, Assistant Professor Department of Education, Faculty of Education, SVSU Meerut, who remained the coordinators of this activities received a note of appreciation from the school to prepared such a live activities by the students of Department of Education,SVSU, and Meerut under their supervision. This Extension activity ends with taking pledge by the participants.. All participants were happy and satisfied.
