Nurses Week Celebration

Like every year this year also Faculty of Nursing has celebrated its Nurse’s week from May 9, 2022-May 12, 2022 with full zeal with each day activities meant for Students and Staff Nurses

May 9, 2022 

The Programme started at 10 AM with the lighting of the lamp with the dignitaries which was followed by the prayer song by BSc 3rd year students, soon after with the theme for the International Nurses Day was unrolled by the Assistant Medical Superintendent of CSSH and  Nursing Superintendent Mrs Sanju Solanki which was followed by the Motivational speech by Assistant Medical Superintendent of CSSH Dr Saurav Sharma. Nursing Superintendent Mrs Sanju Solanki also shared her views on the qualities of a Good Nurse. Afterwards, the Best out of the Waste competition was been conducted where nurses made several items from waste materials for future utility. Soon after the competition judgment was made by Assistant Professor Dr Anshul from the Faculty of Fine Arts and also prizes were distributed for the same. The programme was ended by the vote of thanks proposed by Ritu Kumari Assistant Nursing Superintendent.

The second-day programme for Nurses week was also celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm. The programme started at 10.30 AM with the lighting of the lamp by Dignitaries which was followed by the Prayer Song by Bsc 3rd Year students. After which Seminar on the topic of Burn Out Syndrome was been taken for Staff Nurses by Dr. Arti, Assistant Professor, Psychiatric Department, CSSH hospital which was followed by the Vote of Thanks by Priya Darlin, Assistant Professor, Faculty of  Nursing.

May 11, 2022

The third-day programme started at 2.30 pm at Yoga hall, Faculty of AYUSH with the Prayer Song by BSc 3rd year students. Then the welcoming of the dignitary was made by Nursing Superintendent and Assistant Professor Ms. Blessy Mathew. The session was guided by Dr. Guneri, Assistant professor, Faculty of AYUSH after which the staff nurses were taught and made to do Yoga as a part of Relaxation Therapy. The programme was ended by the vote of thanks proposed by Priya Darlin, Assistant Professor, Faculty of  Nursing.

May 12, 2022

Nurses Day was celebrated with all festivity and fervour. The day started with Welcoming and Greeting all students and teachers by Anointing of  Holy Kukumma by Assistant Professor Ms Blessy Mathew along with students. At 10 AM the programme started with lamp lighting and a prayer song. After which, the welcoming of the Guest –Mr. Ankit Jain, programme coordinator of MED-LERN was been made by Prof. Geeta Parwanda, Principal Faculty of Nursing in lecture theatre-1 in the college, which was followed by cake cutting and inspirational message for students and staff nurses by the Principal, Faculty of  Nursing.  Then Mr Ankit Jain explained to the Nursing  Students the importance of Continuous Professional Development. The Medical Superintendent Dr Harjeet Singh Minaz and the Head of Department, Obstetrics and Gynaecology also encouraged the staff nurses and students through their values and thought-provoking speeches. Then fashion show was been conducted in LT-4 of CSSH by the staff nurses on the theme – of various scopes of nursing for which the best three were selected by the judges and prizes were also given by the Nursing superintendent. It was followed by a workshop on Nebulisation and its types and importance by CIPLA company. After which cultural programmes were been organized which included a dance on steps of handwashing by Infection Control Nurses of Hospital. The programme was concluded by a vote of thanks by Assistant Professor Ms Blessy Mathew followed by a group photos with dignitaries and refreshments.
