One Day National Conference on
“Recent Advancements in the Field of Science and Technology”

The Department of Chemistry, Keral Verma Subharti College of Science, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, successfully organized a One-Day National Conference on “Recent Advancements in the Field of Science and Technology” on 2nd June 2025 at the Satyajit Ray Auditorium, SVSU, Meerut. The conference was organized under the esteemed guidance and constant support of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Maj Gen (Dr.) G.K. Thapliyal, SM (Retd.) & Honourable CEO, SVSU, Dr. Shalya Raj whose visionary leadership continues to inspire academic excellence and research innovation across the university. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of more than 100 delegates, including academicians, researchers, and students from various esteemed institutions. The conference began with a warm welcoming address by the anchor Ms. Gauri Tyagi, followed by the auspicious Saraswati Vandana. Dignitaries were felicitated, after which the objectives and vision of the conference were outlined. Prof. (Dr.) Renu Mavi, Organising Secretary, addressed the gathering and emphasized the role of such academic forums in encouraging interdisciplinary research and innovation. This was followed by an insightful speech by Prof. (Dr.) Ravindra Kumar Jain, Dean, Faculty of Science, underlined the importance of research in shaping scientific advancement. Dr. Shashiraj Teotia, Vice Principal, delivered a motivational address, highlighting the growing relevance of technological innovation in academia.

The inaugural session was followed by the first technical session comprising expert lectures delivered by the Resource Persons. Dr. Rashmi, Ph.D., Post Doctorate (Japan), Professor in the Department of Basic Science at Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut, and Ex-Scientist-E, ICFRE, MoEF & CC, FRI, Dehradun, delivered the keynote lecture on Aromatic Chemicals from Plants and Their Health Benefits,” which captivated the audience with its relevance to both science and wellness. The session continued with Dr. Vinny Sharma, Associate Professor of Forensic Science and Associate Dean of Students’ Welfare at Galgotias University, Greater Noida, who presented an insightful talk titled “Forensic Science in AI Era – Where We Are, Where We Can Be,” emphasizing the role of artificial intelligence in shaping the future of forensic science. Dr. Vishrut Chaudhary, Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Dev Nagri College, Meerut, delivered a detailed lecture on “Density Functional Theory: The Basis of Most Modern Calculations,” which explored the fundamental principles of computational chemistry. Dr. Upasna Devi, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, Raghunath Girls P.G. College, Meerut, discussed “Computational Docking in Drug Design: Emerging Trends and Advancements,” highlighting its crucial role in pharmaceutical research. Lastly, Dr. Rohit Kanojia, Assistant Professor at the National Forensic Science University (NFSU), Delhi, delivered a lecture on “Advancements of Chemical Analysis in Forensic Toxicology,” shedding light on modern techniques in toxicological analysis. Each lecture was followed by the presentation of a Certificate of Honor to the respective speakers in appreciation of their valuable contribution. Event was graced by our special guest Dr. Mukti Verma, Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. 

Following the lecture, the second session of the day began with a technical round that included oral and poster presentations by students and research scholars. In the oral presentation category, Niyati from National Forensic Science University, Delhi secured the first position, Akshita from Keral Verma Subharti University of Science, Swami Vivekanand Subharti university, Meerut came second, and Khushi Tyagi from Keral Verma Subharti University of Science, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut earned third place. In the poster presentation category, Varnika Tyagi from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, University won first place, Muskaan and Rashika from Keral Verma Subharti University of Science, Swami Vivekanand Subharti university, Meerut jointly secured second place, and Akshita Tyagi from Keral Verma Subharti University of Science, Swami Vivekanand Subharti university, Meerut took third place. 

The competition was evaluated by a panel of experts based on innovation, scientific rigor, and clarity of presentation. The event concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks, expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, speakers, all HoDs & faculty members, the organizing team, IT team, PPD team and participants for their presence and contribution. The event was successfully organized by the dedicated efforts of the Organizing Committee; which comprised Dr. Ankita Agarwal, Dr. Preeti Singh, Dr. Abida, Ms. Nisha Singh, Ms. Esther Lalringzo, Ms. Ankita Sharma, Ms. Pragati Jain, and Mr. Lalit Panwar. A group photograph and the distribution of participation & Winner Certificates marked the successful conclusion of the conference. The Conference proved to be an enriching and inspiring academic event, fostering dialogue, learning, and collaboration across disciplines.
