Special lectures by Dr. Rafat Khanam, Prof. (Dr.) Jyoti Gaur & Dr. Shalu Nehra

The Department of Liberal Arts and Humanities at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, successfully organized two special lectures on 14th October 2025.

The first lecture was delivered by Dr. Rafat Khanam on the topic “Soft Skills and Viksit Bharat 2047.” In her lecture, she emphasized that soft skills such as communication, leadership, teamwork, and self-discipline are fundamental requirements for building a developed India. She stated that the dream of making India a “developed nation” by 2047 can be realized only when the young generation becomes not just technically competent but also morally, emotionally, and socially empowered.

The second lecture was delivered by Prof. Jyoti Gaur and Dr. Shalu Nehra on the topic “Cyber Crime: Awareness, Prevention, and Responsibility.” Both speakers discussed in detail the growing forms of cybercrime, including phishing, data theft, online fraud, and social media hacking. They emphasized the importance of basic cybersecurity measures such as using strong passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, and adhering to digital ethics. They also encouraged students to understand their responsibilities as digital citizens and to stay aware of cyber laws.

To grace the occasion, several senior faculty members were present — Dr. Manoj Kumar Tripathi, Dr. Manisha Pundir, Dr. Niyati, Mrs. Bhawana Joshi, Mr. Ankit Kumar, Dr. Dinesh, Dr. Lovely, Dr. Mohini Mittal, Dr. Sarita, Dr. Ajay Kumar Verma, Ms. Julie, and Dr. Kapil.

The event was coordinated efficiently by Dr. Amrit Choudhary and Dr. Kiran Rani Panwar, who ensured the smooth conduct of all sessions and motivated students for active participation. Under their guidance, the event proved to be highly informative, interactive, and successful. The stage proceedings were conducted by Manjeet Goswami and Mahek.
