Three-Day Workshop on “Fitness and Stress Management”

The Department of Physical Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, successfully organized a Three-Day Workshop on “Fitness and Stress Management” with the objective of promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, and effective stress reduction among students.

Day 1: Awareness & Understanding Stress: – The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Education, and formally welcomed by Dr. Manju Adhikari, Head, Department of Physical Education. The programme commenced with Saraswati Vandana, creating a positive and calm learning environment.
session start by Prof. Dr. Sandeep Kumar Dean Faculty of Education focused on the importance of fitness, causes of stress, and scientific stress management techniques, helping students understand stress and its impact on academic and personal life. After that and Mr. Mohd Sartaz deeply explained about stress and how to maintain stress through physical and mental activity.

Day 2: Practical Fitness & Yogic Practices: – The second day emphasized hands-on practical sessions, including yogic kriyas, asanas, and pranayama by Mr. Sartaz aimed at reducing mental stress, improving flexibility, and enhancing concentration. Students actively participated and experienced immediate benefits in relaxation and mental clarity.

Day 3: Relaxation & Holistic Well-being: – The final day focused on advanced relaxation techniques, mindfulness practices, and stress-relieving physical activities, reinforcing the concept of holistic health and stress-free living. By Dr. Nishant Kumar Participants were motivated to adopt these practices as part of their daily routine.

All faculty members of the Department of Physical Education were present throughout the three days, and a large number of Physical Education students actively participated. The workshop was convened by Dr. Nishant Kumar and Mr. Mohd Sartaz department of physical education. The Programme concluded with highly positive feedback, as participants appreciated the effective blend of theory and practice. The workshop proved to be a successful initiative in promoting fitness, mental balance, and stress management.
