Sardar Patel Subharti Institute of Law organized a Training Workshop on SCC Online Legal Research Tools under the guidance of Hon’ble Justice Rajesh Chandra, Director and Prof. (Dr.) Reena Bishnoi, Officiating Dean- Faculty of Law with the objective of enhancing legal research capabilities among students. The workshop aimed to familiarize students with the comprehensive features of the SCC Online platform, enabling effective access to case laws, statutes, legal articles, and journals, thereby strengthening research accuracy and analytical skills essential for academic and professional legal practice. The entire workshop was led by Mr. Ajay Pratap Singh, Senior Manager – SCC Online, who provided an in-depth and hands-on demonstration of the platform. He explained advanced search techniques, use of filters, citation tools, case history tracking, and practical strategies for efficient legal research. The session emphasized the importance of authentic digital legal databases in judicial preparation, academic writing, and litigation support.
The session resulted in a marked improvement in students’ legal research proficiency, as they actively engaged with the SCC Online platform to develop speed, accuracy, and analytical precision in accessing legal resources. Students acquired practical skills in locating relevant case laws, statutes, and commentaries, directly enhancing their ability to conduct effective and time-bound legal research. The workshop successfully translated theoretical legal concepts into practical research competencies, thereby strengthening students’ academic performance and preparing them for professional legal practice, while reaffirming the institution’s commitment to technology-driven learning and research excellence.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Prof. (Dr.) Prem Chandra, who conveyed special thanks to Mr. Ajay Pratap Singh, Senior Manager – SCC Online, for conducting an insightful and practical session that significantly enhanced the participants’ understanding of digital legal research tools and also urged the students to effectively utilize the knowledge and skills gained from the workshop in their legal research work, academic writing, and future professional pursuits. The event was successfully organized and coordinated by Miss Muskan Srivastava and Dr. Afreen Almas, ensuring seamless execution and effective achievement of the workshop objectives.
