WORLD OZONE DAY
The Department of Education. Faculty of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut celebrated World Ozone Day on 16 Sept 2024.The program started with a traditional ceremony of lamp lighting in front of Maa Saraswati. Major General G.K.Thapliyal,Vice Chancellor, Swami Vivekanand, Subharti University, Meerut and Prof.(Dr.) Shalya Raj.Chief Executive Officer, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University sent their blessings and congratulated the winners. Prof (Dr) Anoj Raj explained the causes of Ozone layer depletion and how we can minimize it .Students participated actively in competitions such as Public Speaking, Quiz competition, Poster making competition and did write-up on this occasion. Pradeep Yadav of B.El.Ed received 1 position and Nitu Kumari, B.Ed. received second position in the Quiz Competition. Posters of Yaseer, Shruti Kaushik, Gungun, Gargi, Harsh, Rekha were highly appreciated by the judges, Yaseer, Muskan Chaudhary, Mehak Gupta presented their views on the alarming situation of Ozone layer depletion.
The program was conducted and Coordinated by Dr. Roopam Jain (Assistant Professor) Department of Education, Faculty members of the department Dr. Rahul Sirohi, Dr. Bhuvnesh Sharma, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Dr. Shalini Tiwari, Dr.Reeba Devi supported the event. Prof. (Dr.) Indira Singh suggested how our mother Earth can be made more clean and green and a better place to live in. Students actively participated in the program and showed enthusiasm in various competitions.
