The Moot Court Association 2021-2022 organized a Group Discussion. It was held on 8/December/2021. The Conveners for the Competition were

2) Saurabh(Member )- 4th year
3) Ankita Raj Bharti(Member) – 2nd year
The topic of the Group Discussion was inspired by the International Day of Persons with Disabilities that is recognized on 3rd December. The theme was – Leadership and participation of persons with disabilities towards an inclusive, accessible, and sustainable post- Covid 19 World. This Group Discussion was organized under the guidance of Ms. Afreen Almas (Faculty Convener of MCA) and Ms. Ana Sisodia (Faculty Convener of MCA). A total of 18 students marked their presence in the Discussion.
In the beginning, Ankita Raj Bharti started the G.D with the Introduction of the topic and her views on how to make a friendly environment for disabled persons. Then, Ms. Afreen Almas and Ms. Ana Sisodia shared their views and also showed the path towards an inclusive approach.
Then, students shared their experiences when they meet any disabled persons, what approach should we as citizens have towards them. Creating awareness between the parents of Disabled Persons is one of the important aspects. After Covid 19, we have seen that disabled persons were facing many issues, but the government tried every possible way to overcome these problems and not only govt. but NGOs played a vital role in creating awareness and solving the problems of Disabled persons.
In the Group Discussion, all the students discussed the problems or issues which arose to them since birth. When they started going to school, then college, then job and getting married. Also, what is the approach of the society for disabled persons? Finally, the concluding words were given by Ms. Ana Sisodia by saying that charity begins at home means that the change should be within ourselves. We should first change our thinking towards them.
The outcome of Group Discussion:
• Students got sensitized regarding rights and the problem of differently-abled.
• They came to know about various legislations.
• Ist year of B.A.LL.B pro-actively participated.
• Various suggestions were put forward with regard to the topic.
