Lecture on the Birth Anniversary of Madam Bhikaji Cama

Bhikaji Cama Subharti College of Hotel Management (BCSCHM), under the aegis of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, organized a lecture on the Birth Anniversary of Madam Bhikaji Cama on 24 September 2026 at 3:00 PM onwards. The programme was conducted at BCSCHM to commemorate Madam Bhikaji Cama’s contributions to India’s freedom movement and her historical legacy.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Indraneel Bose, Head, BCSCHM, and focused on the life, contributions, and historical significance of Madam Bhikaji Cama, with particular emphasis on her association with India’s freedom struggle, leadership, and national heritage.
A total of 27 students participated in the programme. The activity was coordinated by Mr. Rohil Bhatnagar, with support from the Literary Buffet Club, which assisted in facilitating student participation and engagement during the programme.
The programme provided students with an opportunity to learn about Madam Bhikaji Cama and understand the historical context surrounding her contributions to India’s national movement. The session also encouraged students to develop awareness of India’s historical and national heritage and to engage with themes of leadership, patriotism, and national responsibility.
The involvement of the Literary Buffet Club added an academic and student-engagement dimension to the programme, supporting the literary and knowledge-oriented character of the activity. Students were encouraged to develop greater awareness of significant personalities associated with India’s freedom struggle and to participate actively in academic and literary activities.
The lecture contributed to students’ understanding of national heritage and provided a structured academic platform for discussing the historical significance of Madam Bhikaji Cama. The programme also supported holistic student development by connecting historical awareness with leadership, cultural understanding, and student participation.
