To enhance awareness of students about higher Education opportunities, like teaching government/private sector, research etc.
To guide students for their future and changing educational policy.
A Career Counselling Session was organized for the B.El.Ed,B.Ed.M. Ed final year students on 24th May 2025 at the Seminar Hall (Ground Floor) of the Faculty of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU), Meerut. The session aimed to provide students with valuable guidance on career prospects, higher education opportunities, and scholarships available for further studies.
The session commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Prof (Dr.) Anoj Raj, Head, Department of Education, faculty members, and final year students, signifying the auspicious beginning of the session. Dr. Reeba Devi, coordinator of Career Counselling Cell, Entrepreneurship Development Cell, and the Training and Placement Cell DOE,FOE,SVSU, efficiently conducted the anchoring of the session, maintaining a vibrant and engaging atmosphere throughout the event.
The keynote address was delivered by Prof (Dr.) Anoj Raj, Head, Department of Education, Faculty of Education, SVSU, Meerut. He provided in-depth insights into career opportunities in the field of education, future prospects in teacher education, and detailed answers to student queries regarding M.Ed., postgraduate degrees,Ph.D and professional pathways. His address also included a comprehensive discussion on the current and upcoming educational policies and their implications in the domain of teacher training and development.Following this, Dr. Sangeeta Rani, Coordinator of the Admission Cell, shared detailed information regarding the admission process for higher studies within the university. She highlighted the special scholarships, reduced fees for female students, facilities for alumni, and benefits for students from army backgrounds. She also elaborated on state scholarships, university special scholarships, and other financial aid schemes available for eligiblestudents.Students actively participated in the session and raised queries related to their academic and professional futures. All questions were addressed thoroughly by the key note speaker and faculty members, leaving the students satisfied and well-informed.The session concluded on a positive note, with students expressing happiness and gratitude for receiving clear guidance and meaningful solutions to their career-related doubts.The session concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Vaishali Saini, Assistant Professor and Coordinator of B.Ed. 4th Semester, Department of Education. She expressed her sincere gratitude to key note speaker, all participants, and faculty members, for their active participation and enthusiastic involvement. She gave special appreciation to students who contributed beyond being attentive listeners—Nitish Kumar Roy, Neetu Rani, and Biba—for efficiently managing photography and maintaining discipline throughout the event. Their dedication and support played a key role in making the session a smooth and successful one.
