Discussion with Dr. Mamta R. Agrawal Additional Secretary, AIU
Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Pintu Mishra, and the Head of the Department of Performing Arts, Prof. Bhavana Grover, discussed the cultural activities being conducted in Indian universities with Dr. Mamta R. Agrawal, Additional Secretary of the Association of Indian Universities.
In a message sent to Dr. Mamta R. Agrawal, Major General Dr. G.K. Thapliyal, Vice-Chancellor of Subharti University, and Dr. Shalya Raj, CEO, stated that Subharti University has been giving prominence to organizing cultural programs. They mentioned that the university successfully hosted the Central Zone Inter-University Youth Festival 2023-24 under the aegis of the Association of Indian Universities. The university is committed to organizing such competitions at both national and international levels in the future.
During the meeting, Prof. Bhavana Grover provided detailed information about the youth festivals, workshops, seminars, and other cultural activities organized by the university. She highlighted that Swami Vivekanand Subharti University is well-equipped to host cultural events organized by the Association of Indian Universities. For music and dance programs, the university has an auditorium, and the Faculty of Fine Arts is performing exceptionally well in hosting activities related to fine arts.
Dean Prof. Pintu Mishra mentioned that Subharti University, while promoting Indian culture, is instilling cultural values based on the country’s art, tradition, and history among students.
Dr. Mamta Agrawal praised the cultural activities at Subharti University and expressed her willingness to organize the National Youth Festival in the future.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Prof. Pintu Mishra and Dr. Bhavana Grover invited Dr. Mamta Agrawal visited Swami Vivekanand Subharti University and honored her with a painting as a token of respect.
