M.Ed., Ph.D. Department of Education lays emphasis to develop research oriented, competent, ethically and morally awakened teachers who can groom future generations for being responsible and accountable citizens of the country

CONTEXT OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS: ALIGNMENT AND EVALUATION
The Sustainable Development Goals adopted by United Nations in 2015 targets Global Prosperity at optimum level by 2030. It has 17 Goals and covers exhaustively all the important aspects of human development extending from poverty to partnership for the goal. It has incorporated all the essential dimensions through social, economic and environmental sustainability; which will take the progress of mankind to its zenith.
The Indian Knowledge System; which dates back to Vedic era; has been a beacon of light for Indian society in past as well as present generation. The rich knowledge embedded in Indian Knowledge System can prove to greatly enhance our understanding about the proud heritage of India and remind us of its glorious past. It has touched all the important dimensions of development ranging from astronomy, science, mathematics, town planning, medicine, literature, grammar, philosophy, warfare technology, yoga, fine arts, etc.
It will be a matter of great interest to probe into the reflection of Indian Knowledge System in UN Sustainable Development Goals as the objectives of both of them is human progress and development. Delving into this thought-provoking theme will hint at the brilliance of Indian intellect and its functioning in the futuristic direction.
