Subharti Animation Fest: 2023 Celebrates International Animation Day with a Pirate-Themed Extravaganza

In an enchanting event filled with creativity and talent, Department of Animation of Subharti College of Fine Arts and Fashion Design (Swami Vivekananda Subharti University) hosted the Subharti Animation Fest: 2023 on the occasion of International Animation Day. The two-day fest, which took place on the 27th and 28th of October, was themed around pirates, adding an extra layer of excitement and adventure to the proceedings.

The Subharti Animation Fest was graced by esteemed chief guests, including the Dr. G.K Thapliyal  (Vice Chancellor of Subharti University), Dr. Shalya Raj (Chief Executive Officer), Dr. Abhay Shankar Gowda (Pro Vice Chancellor of Subharti University), Dr. Ashok Kumar (Deputy Director and Principal of District Institute of Training, UP Govt.), Mr. Vivek Tiwari ( CTO IT Dept., SVSU), Mr. Aakash Bhatnagar ( Asst. Director PPD Dept., SVSU) and many more. The CEO ma’am and VC sir took the opportunity to motivate and congratulate the students, expressing their pride in the creativity and hard work exhibited during the fest.

The hosts of the event, Principal Prof. Dr. Pintu Mishra and Dr. Vidhi Khandelwal , Head of the Animation Department, welcomed guests and participants alike, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all in attendance. The program was coordinated by Ms.Tamanna and Mr. Rahul Kumar.

The event was marked by stunning performances from the group “The Slayers,” “The Cornell Bhangra Group,” and “The Backbenchers,” who captivated the audience with their vibrant displays of talent. The atmosphere was further enhanced by the masterful anchoring of Ms. Manisha and Mr. Sagar Chauhan, who guided the audience through the event with wit and charm.

A significant highlight of the event was the unveiling of the first edition of the catalog “Exuberance,” which showcased the impressive work of the students of the Animation Department. The catalog served as a testament to the skill and imagination of the students, and was received with enthusiasm by all present.
