Value Added Course on Digitization in Sports
The Department of Physical Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University organized a Value Added Course on Digitization in Sports from 17th to 23rd September 2024. This course focuses on the application of digital technologies in sports and their benefits, which are playing an important role in modern sports management and coaching. On the first day of the program, three sessions were organized by Dr. Mohammad Salim Javed on the topics History of Sports and Development of Digital Technology, History of Digitization in Football, History of Digitization in Tennis. In the same series, on the second day, Technology Match Regularity by Dr. Praveen Kumar, on the third day SAP sports one by Dr. Ankit Singh Jadaun, fourth day Video Assistant Referee by Mr. Kapil Shakya and final day History of Digitization in Basketball by Dr. Atul Tiwari will be conducting sessions. It will also provide students with practical training on ways to improve sports performance through digital technology. This course is being organized by Dr. Deepak Raghav, Program Coordinator. Dr. Manju Adhikari, Acting Head of Department, Department of Physical Education, appreciated this initiative and said that such courses are important to promote innovation in sports. He said digital technologies have brought a new revolution in the world of sports, and we should introduce our young generation to these technologies.
