Le FreHindi Education Private Limited and Swami Vivekananda Subharti University, Meerut signed French language agreement (MoU)
A significant workshop on French language was inaugurated by the Department of Languages under the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of Swami Vivekananda Subharti University on 9th February 2024, in Madan Mohan Malviya Auditorium at 10:30 am. This important workshop under the foreign language category was organized on the basis of mutual agreement between French language partner in India, Le FreHindi Education Private Limited and Swami Vivekananda Subharti University. The main objective of this workshop was to start a certificate course in French language in the University. The associated objectives of the agreement include enhancing the multilingual knowledge of students taking admission in L1 & L2 courses, increasing international tourism in India, developing the economic sector of the country, coordinating the use of French language and Hindi and other Indian languages, ensuring participation of multilingual youth in the development of the nation.
The workshop started with lighting the lamps in front of the idol of Maa Saraswati by the Mr. Harvendra Singh “Haru”, Executive Officer and Chairman of Le FreHindi Education Pvt. Ltd., and Mr. Kapil Akolia, Professor of French Language, Dr. Seema Sharma, Head of the Department of Languages, Dr. Rafat Khanam, In-Charge of English and Foreign Languages, and all the faculty members of the Department of Languages.
On this occasion, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the University, Major General (Retd.) Dr. G. K. Thapliyal sir congratulated both the parties. The Chief Executive Officer of the University Dr. Shalya Raj motivated students to showcase their
multi-dimensional talent for versatile French language course. Dr. Seema Sharma, Associate Professor & Head of the Department of languages presented the welcome note. She welcomed the Chairman of Mr. Le FreHindi, Mr. Haru, his colleague Kapil Akolia and all the faculty members, students and research scholars highlighting the importance of the French language and information about the quality of the curriculum. She said that the scope of multilingualism and tourism has been increasing day by day. Hence, it is very necessary to know and understand foreign languages. She said that the Certificate Course in French language will be very beneficial for the students of all streams like medical, Law, Technology, Commerce, Management etc.
Dr. Sudhir Tyagi, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social sciences shared his best wishes to initiate the French Certificate Course.
Mr. Harvinder Singh “Mr. Haru” exchanged very important and useful information while introducing the Level 1 and Level 2 of French Language certificate Course. His magnificent and interesting style throughout the workshop enhanced the eagerness in candidates to take admission in the French Certificate Course. He said that language plays an important role in learning and developing mutual understanding. He presented real life examples in Hindi and French language and students enjoyed and shared their pleasant expressions. He said that we must be a global personality as it spreads the cultural knowledge and benefits the citizens in a holistic development of country. He further said that learning a new language provides the employment opportunities, improves the quality of business and mutual friendship between the two countries.
Dr. Rafat Khanam, Associate Professor & in–Charge of English and Foreign Languages, offered the formal vote of thanks. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Harvendra Singh Haru, Mr. Kapil Akolia and the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Sir, Chief Executive Officer madam, Dean faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and all the faculty members and students present there. She promised to conduct more interesting sessions of French language for intimating the information about the admission process and everyone welcomed the words with a thunderous clapping sounds.
The workshop was successfully and exquisitely moderated by Swati Sharma, Senior lecturer, Department of languages. Dr. Seema Sharma, Head of the Department of languages, Dr. Rafat Khanam, in–Charge of English and Foreign Languages, Prof. (Dr.) Rajeswar Pal, Dr. Manisha Luthra, Dr. Shobha Raturi, Dr. Yashpal, Dr. Ranveer Singh, Swati Sharma and the dignified presence of all the teachers including Dr. Niyati Garg, Dr. Manas Kandi, Dr. Amrita Choudhary, Dr. Vikas Tyagi and other college teachers made the workshop meaningful and successful. The workshop ended with cheerful expressions and pleasant gestures.
